lunchbox stories

you know
i want kids now for the sole selfish purpose of having to make them lunchbox to take to school and be the envy of everybody lmfao!! (but i can’t imagine myself doing that because i can’t even bother to wake up to go shopping anymore these days)but i might just FTW it for the first week of school before i just start going to cafes and buying them their lunch or packing their leftover dinner..but i’m so conscious of how their friends would perceive them that i’d have to make fancy packed dishes…dam wtf…. no more ‘chap fan’ (mixed combo rice) cos apparently it looks like dog food to the white man.

it brings back memories when i see my friend’s fb picture of the food she makes for her husband and son to school and work!!!! my bf said our children will be ousted and outkasted T_T”
wtf but how i wish i was her little son…everyday different donburi and bentos and other stuff!!!!

but it didn’t happen to me in school lar those outkast..in fact i had friends…well until my mom found out i preferred canteen food and she got insulted and gave me money to buy lunch and thought i would miss her food but lololol BACKFIRED!

my mom, despite having to go to work everyday made me and my sibling lunch everydayyyyyyyyyy though (yay!) and we were the envyy of kids hahaahahah note: my mom made them, not the maid! so..lmfao….

but what a brat i was…i was so used to my mom’s cooking it didn’t phase me and i ended up selling my lunch in exchange for canteen food cos…my mom being the health freak (before she turned to fusion food freak) didn’t allow us to eat out a lot..sigh…
canteen food was foreign to me…hawker food also foreign to me..until..i changed nanny…no more outsiders..changed to family..THE BEST THING EVER cos i got to eat so much food you’d think i’d be from some poverish country that’s never seen watermelon before

that’s right
that’s how i’ve come to hate banana and apples and quite possibly oranges and mandarins.

oh yeah
i’m the king of club sandwiches cos that’s what i had for lunch everyday at school. i like afternoon tea cos it can be hokkien noodles or ‘wat tan hor’ XDDDDD

pruning

i wished i had a bonsai tree to prune.that way i wouldn’t have to read through all that shit i wrote and delete them.

the reason why i blog is because i have this fucked up self inferior complex thing going on. i don’t blog. i rant. sorry please excuse me.
i rant because it makes me feel better than i go back and read it and i find i am a jerk and an assholes at times.then i feel sorry and bad and wallow in self pity or go on incessantly bout how i fucked up or could’ve done better…..

sigh.

food catchup

i’ve nothing good to say but here’s the pictures i owe from cincin and also tonight’s dinner which was potato and leek soup topped with crispy(charred) bacon and then for mains, spaghetti meatballs. this was all brought about the unprecedented cold that i’m experiencing right now

feel free to just come here and experience air conditioning that you cannot turn off. and for ppl who categorize me as ‘person who rants when it’s too hot or too cold’ i swear there is only one season i can tolerate which is autumn because it’s like sunny but not hot like summer and its breezy and doesn’t rain or snow or as windy as winter/spring should be

they were having clearance sales and well i figured while waiting for my guest i’d take pictures of their interesting walls. too bad bf and i didn’t make it back for their cheap asssssss hoodies..warm too!!!

potato and leek soup that i made from scratch and whisked manually since i forgot we didn’t have a bloody blender (need to buy new knives and blender/food processor for xmas)

so guess to make soup, we all know we need stock
and you guys would’ve known my MO right now

this time i threw in the onion n potato skins, dying carrot and random leaves from the leek
(bottom part not the top cos it cannot be eaten) and also the mushroom stalks and half an onion…(i diced the rest of onions for spaghetti sauce and for meatball mix. all separated)

all right on another pot
i was boiling pasta and potatoes because kill two bird with one stone lar!

don’t forget that with spaghetti, you need to mix it after draining with either oil or butter or margarine so that it wouldn’t stick to each other else…..you would need to cut pieces to eat it -__-”

last but not least, you need to set aside some chopped parsley
( i need to buy that special chopper)

and if you not gonna use the rest, try to prolong it cos it’s dam expensive aye
bloody $1 for a rubbished/pitiful stalk like that
so like you do flowers, chop off the stalks diagonally and leave it in a cup of water
make sure to start using it within the next few days before it completely dies -_-
then become waste of money

so fry bacon on free stove top

mix up the meatball mix

onion
1 egg to hold them down
some flour to strengthen it
parsley
mix them well and roll them into balls and chuck them into oven for 10 mins
(cos i dun have frier lar)

hahahaha melt butter on a frying pan (remember it is easy to burn butter so lift the pan up aye if it’s too hot? unless you like bitter stuff go ahead my friend)

then fry your leak and then salt n pepper it to taste

btw i didn’t wash the pan aye after i fried the bacon i just added butter and the leek
then i added a bit of stock which was boiling on the other stove top
then later just combined everything in the stock pot and added the potatoes in and then if you got blender, great
blend everything up when the soups hot and boiling
and if you don’t, get a potato masher la…
since i didn’t have any -___-”

meatballs is the chinese meatball way my mom makes them
there those meat pattis but i didn’t pan fry ar
and i added parsley in instead of chestnuts and shrimp!

as for the soup,
everyone here knows how to make it
i just saw the chef cook so i thought i’d give it a try
that’s why you guys would’ve noticed my presentation is shit cos everything i cook

and well if you guys can find a recipe, great
follow theirs is better cos got measurement

so chynwey thinks malay or bahasa malaysia is a dam awesome n useful language outside malaysia. i beg to differ.
his reasoning would be if we came across people we don’t like we can call them whatever it is the hell we want and they wouldn’t understand.

but people arent’ dumb
they always got like 7th sense when they think you bitching bout them
it’s not just what you say
it’s the tone and your facial expression and when you inadvertently point them out/ single them out
these actions betray you irregardless of what language you speak
i run like hell when russians or middle eastern ppl stare at me and start talking in tone and ways and adopt manners that makes me feel uncomfy. i don’t even know if the talking bout me but when i pick up, i run.

i think it’s alright but i’m adept at other languages that’s not just english and malay. to my record i can parle francaise, hablo espanol ye shi, wo shuo pu tung hua.
so all these is irrelevant to me
but you know what?

it doesn’t matter because i don’t hang out with enough of malaysian ppl who is patriotic or so semangat to berbahasa melayu. lol no really i don’t hang out with malaysians because
1) they too kiasu for my liking
2) they too cheap/calculative/stingy
3) they hate my guts/attitude

so i might as well not bother
and if i have something to say
i’ll say it to their face next time.

happiness at only $10!

you know i didn’t think i could find happiness at the warehouse…
but….i got a new pillow after 1.5 yrs of procrastinating and sleeping on ergonomic type pillow!! XDD

else it would’ve been double happiness cos i could buy some winter clothes! farmers just didn’t do it for me and well there was none at sylvia park.
i saw fast and furious 4. hey, seriously this time around, the movie was great : ) well i liked the first 2 and i didn’t bother bout tokyo drift. forgot why i didn’t go … but we had time to kill after my midterms on saturday so why not!
btw the website a bit fucked. they swapped michelle rodriguez’s name with vin diesel in the picture hahahahaha wtf!
but as always i got a problem with her acting…should’ve just put salma hayek…*drool* but i don’t think this is her kind of movie!
aside from that i bought some clothes for baby and a new pair of jeans for me! wtf leh..levi’s under $100….last time i wanted a pair of redloop’s skinny, it cost $200. i think it’s vintage now but i don’t know……yeah the cutting for levi’s is more flattering than the justjeans ones…i couldn’t buy justjeans..last time i got was lee..guess it was not mean to be for me to buy cheap jeans.*@#^$%&#%*
